 Ezeiza International Airport was originally built between 1945 and 1949 with three runways that form a giant A. Today the airport has two main runways 11/29 and 17/35 with runway 05/23 being closed in 1997 to make way for parking of larger aircraft flying into Ezeiza International Airport such as Boeing 747 and the new Airbus 380.
Ezeiza International Airport has three terminals, one being used for cargo and two for passengers. Terminal A is used by all major International carriers flying into and out of Buenos Aires, while terminal B is used almost exclusively by Aerolinas Argentina as their hub for both international and domestic flights. Terminals A and B are within walking.  Ezeiza International Airport announced late in 2007 with plans to include a new terminal building, control tower and car parking facilities. The project is due for completion in 2010/11.
Ezeiza International Airport has several restaurants , bars and café’s as well as Duty Free and many other shops located throughout terminal A and B. There are pharmacies in both terminals, and a medical service center in Terminal A.
