Getting There by Air: Jorge Chavez International Airport in Lima(LIM/SPIM) is the main Gateway airport for Peru and the rest of the world. Peru also offers several other International Airports. Departure Tax: Many countries charge a departure tax to leave the country whether by air or by boat. Check your tickets because in some countries this tax will be included in the ticket such as the Untied States. Peru’s departure tax of US $30.25 from Lima’s airport. Transit passengers and children under two years of age are exempt. Payment must be paid in cash prior to boarding.
