 Rosario - Islas Malvinas International Airport located in the Argentina Province of Santa Fe, serves Argentina's third largest city, Rosario located along the Paranas River that is home to over 1 million people. The airport is the only international airport located in the Province of Santa Fe.

 Rosario - Islas Malvinas International Airport is located just 8 miles west northwest of the city center at an elevation of 84 feet. With one runway 02/20 handling air traffic with 9841 feet in length the airport is able to handle the largest of aircraft. Rosario - Islas Malvinas International Airport is a joint military and commercial airport run by the Province of Santa Fe. Constructed in 1940 it was not till 1957 that the airport was used as a commercial airport. In 1981 the Rosario - Islas Malvinas International Airport was given international designation.

 In 2004 a new terminal was finished giving Rosario - Islas Malvinas International Airport the international status with the airlines and the people of Argentina. The airports close proximity to Buenos Aires (210 miles) sees little domestic flights between the two cities. Rosario - Islas Malvinas International Airport does offer connecting flights to neighboring countries of Brazil and Uruguay. Since 2006 Sol Lineas Aeres has made Rosario - Islas Malvinas International Airport into its main hub. 

Rosario - Islas Malvinas International Airport offers travelers a variety of shops,  a restaurant with observation deck on second floor as well as a  café on the lower level
