Getting There by Air: Dominican Republic has several airports through out the country, Las Americas International Airport just 12 miles outside of Santo Domingo, capital of the Dominican Republicis the main gateway to the world for travel by air in and out of Dominican Republic. Flights arrive daily from Western Europe, United States, as well as the Caribbean and Central America. The country's busiest airport is Punta Cana International Airport located in 15,000 acre Punta Cana Resort.
